This two-day event highlight that took place from 29 to 31 Jan 2018 was an expert meeting in the European Parliament, with the participation of renowned MEPs and representatives of the European Commission. For the past years, for most sectoral stakeholders, the need for more active participation in the EU decision-making process on environmental and communal economy has been set.
Part of this year’s study visits and B2B contacts took place in London and Brussels, where record number of participants, decision makers, directors, mayors and representatives of sector organizations and higher education institutions gathered. Croatian MEP Ivana Maletić hosted a high-level conference and organized a working breakfast in Parliament, where many Croatian MEPs – Davor Skrlec, Zeljana Zovko, Dubravka Suica, Ivica Tolic, Marijana Petir, Ivan Jakovcic and Jozo Rados – has come up with numerous suggestions to improve the status and communication of Croatian stakeholders towards Brussels, on issues of environmental protection, waste and water management. 5th edition of the conference will be held in Brussels on 30 January 2019.
